Softscape Team Leader

(Garden Maintenance & Landscaping)

Rare opportunity to grow & shape our Garden Maintenance division

We are seeking an Softscape Team Leader (Garden maintenance & Landscaping) to lead garden and grounds maintenance, and softscape landscaping. This role plays a key part in building & maintaining positive client relationships and delivering a high-end garden maintenance program.
 

Through this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and shape the Garden Maintenance division of the business, working on a diverse range of gardens and collaborating with experienced and passionate Supervisors, Landscapers & Horticulturalists. 
 

In this role you will:

  • Lead a small team to complete high-quality garden & grounds maintenance across both residential and commercial site (including mowing, pruning, fertilising, weeding, mulching, monitoring plant health and seasonal tasks)

  • Complete gardening tasks including mowing, pruning, fertilising, weeding, mulching, monitoring plant health, identifying & treating pests & disease, and other seasonal tasks

  • Oversee and complete softscape landscaping including soil preparation, planting, turf instalation, mulching & irrigation installation, and other tasks as required

  • Assist the Landscape Construction crews as required.

  • Collaborate with key team members to develop, scheduled and communicate a proactive garden maintenance projects across all sites, documenting and reporting on works completed.

  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, supervisors, and your team, utilising Job Software (Tradify) and other technologies

  • Ensure all OH&S policies and procedures are followed

  • Represent Ambleside Landscapes, embodying our team culture around Attitude, Respect, Team works & Communication
     

You will bring to the team:

  • Proven Horticulture knowledge and experience in garden maintenance & softscape landscpaing

  • The ability to lead, motivate and mentor a small team

  • A positive team-focused attitude, and a strong work ethic

  • Initative, problem solving and high level of organisation and communication

  • Confidence using job management software and technology

  • Commitment to OH&S policies and procedures.
     

You are required to have:

  • Certificate lll in Horticulture or equivalent qualification

  • 5+ years Experience in garden maintenance or Landscaping

  • Valid White Card

  • Current Driver's License (MR Desirable)

  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Desirable: Excavator & skid-steer tickets, First Aid Certification
